First, that any perceived enthusiasm about Singh and the NDP platform (that is to the Right of Elizabeth "Capitalist to my Bones" Warren) is quite predictably ephemeral given the nature of elite election campaigns and the NDP's own political practice that you correctly point out has done less than zero to fight for any of their program items.Second that the impact of social movements is not necessarily a strong determining factor here but rather of more diffuse "social trends". Great example of how the Liberals themselves appropriated Sanders/Occupy populist notion of the 1% and that certainly does not mean the Liberals are Left or even moving left. and the conclusion. The tough work with no guarantees of building a political Left that includes intruding in elite elections. The only guarantee being that if we DON'T do this and continue to provide unconditional support for the NDP, we will continue to see the position of the working majority degrade with decreasing capacity to fight elite political attacks.Red Green Charterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02133128582810801871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4305888946584866654.post-74953117636293719412019-10-22T13:15:39.510-07:002019-10-22T13:15:39.510-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Red Green Charterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02133128582810801871noreply@blogger.com
