Obviously part of the problem is the dismissive treatment they receive from the other parties and their marginalization but the corporatist media, but i do find myself disappointed they've not had a greater impact or growth over the past several years. May strikes me as a good leader and well suited to politics, by I was disappointed with her out-of-hand dismissal of nuclear power - especially new or next generation nuclear such as LFTR's which are far safer, more efficient, resist proliferation, produce much smaller waste streams, can be produced on an assembly line, have passive "walk away" safety features, and can significantly impinge on CO2 emissions while providing the kind of necessary baseload electricity needed not only by the developed world but by emerging societies as well. Environmentalism shouldn't be treated as sacrosanct religious dogma but as a series of adaptive, multi-pronged, scientific approaches that provide the most effective and applicable results.
