Long Branch & Len Ford Parks - The Lakeside Parks of South Etobicoke II

At the foot of Long Branch Ave. in South Etobicoke can be found two connected waterfront parks that offer both spectacular lake views and that are almost unknown outside of the neighbourhood.

These are Long Branch Park and Len Ford Park.

Long Branch Park is crescent shaped and juts out into Lake Ontario. The trail that runs through it connects it with the long and narrow Len Ford Park.

Both are truly beautiful. Len Ford is framed by two rocky beaches that have an almost "lost tropical island" feel to them and at Len Ford's western most edge is a point that juts out into the lake and that can be traversed by a dirt path.

Long Branch Park also has a small playground and a quaint Music Man style gazebo. You can almost hear the 76 trombones!

Long Branch and Len Ford Parks are a 5-10 minute walk south of Lake Shore Blvd and Long Branch Ave. Long Branch Ave. lies halfway between Kipling and Brown's Line and has a stop on the 501 streetcar line. The closest Go Station is the Long Branch Go Station which is about a 15-20 minute walk west of the parks.
