
It is connected to the waterfront bike and pedestrian trail and has a new and terrific playground for the kids. It is also blessed with some truly lovely views of the lake, a small island made by the city, and a nearby marina.
With some excellent nearby coffee shops and restaurants (such as Maurya which is one of Toronto's best roti joints and which is literally less than a minute walk from Amos Waites) and lots of benches, picnic tables and rocks to sit on, it is also a perfect spot to enjoy a drink or meal outdoors.
